  • Mixed-Mode Hydrophobic Interaction Process Chromatography Media

    J.T. Baker® BAKERBOND™ mixed-mode hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) media are based on spherical polymethacrylate and silica beads, which are covalently bonded to polyethylenimine (PEI) and functionalized with propyl groups to offer mixed-mode functionality.

    The primary hydrophobic interaction is due to propyl groups covalently bonded to PEI and secondary interactions provided by the amino groups on PEI, offering enhanced selectivity and high efficiency.
