  • Multimode Ion Exchange Process Chromatography Media 

    J.T.Baker® BAKERBOND™ multimode ion exchange process chromatography media are based on spherical polymethacrylate and silica beads, which are covalently bonded to polyethylenimine and functionalized with ionic groups to offer multiple functionality modes over a wide pH range.

    The unique selectivity of the multimode ion exchangers is the result of proprietary PEI surface chemistry (presence of primary, secondary and tertiary nitrogen sites on PEI with different pKa), coupled with additional anion or cation functionalities.

    The unique design of the J.T.Baker® BAKERBOND™ multimode ion exchange process chromatography media contributes to the multimodal attribute and offers enhanced selectivity and high efficiency when compared to conventional ion exchange media.
